How it works
From the System Library: the source's numbers, checked in this game's physics but not reviewed by a coach.
The Plus system with the source's numbers: ten times the Short–Long–Long lesson's, and starts from 20 to 60. Aim = Arrival − Start: the further along the rail you need to arrive, the further from the corner you aim.
The source also gives a corner aim of its own for each start (17, 15, 10, 5 and 0 for 20 to 60) and pairs the 4th cushion at twice the 3rd. Those stay in the System Library's calculator; these drills use the aim scale on the short rail.
Reading the numbers
Start On the long rail behind the cue ball, along the line it leaves the red on: 20 at the second diamond, 10 a diamond up to 60 at the sixth.
Aim On the first cushion, the short rail: 20 at three and a half diamonds up from the near corner, then 30, 40 and 50 every half diamond, 70 and 90 at the next two half diamonds — the scale opens up towards the corner.
Arrival On the third cushion, back on the near long rail: 40 at the middle diamond, 10 a diamond up to 80 in the far corner.
Step by step
- Choose the arrival on the near long rail: where the cue ball must come back to make the second object ball.
- Read the start from the line the cue ball leaves the red on, traced back to the long rail behind it.
- Aim = Arrival − Start. Arrive at 60 from start 30: aim at 30.
- Re-read the start along the new line, work it once more, then add the table correction.
